Massive pedantry incoming: There's no such thing as an "objective opinion," surely? All gamers, whether reviewers or just hobbyists, have played different games in the past, base their comparisons on different titles, put weighting on different things and have their own tastes. An objective review is just a bulletpoint list of features that discuss whether a game mechanically holds up.

However, I do think that reviewers *should* state ...
Wake me up when The Crew releases. Would have loved Driveclub at launch, but frankly, I'm not sure I need another track racer - still crushing through GT6.
Blue Estate was HORRIBLE on Leap Motion - not just control-wise, but in terms of hateful characters, terrible storyline, production values and mistaking prejudice for humour. I hold out no hope whatsoever for this rehashed version - and I'd suggest that you lower expectations accordingly.
@DanielGearSolid: That. All of that.
"A concise history of Microsoft."
I hope that ID@Xbox turns things around - and that some of the promising Xbox One exclusives live up to potential!
Very true, though by the looks of the screenshots the Android isn't exactly in a healthy state! ;) Perhaps we'll fix it up.
Agreed, though I'd argue that MS actually pushed for great games until halfway through last-gen. The original Xbox was full of quality Japanese games, including awesome sequels to legendary SEGA franchises, and the X360 let indies onto XBLA for the first time.
Then, as you said, big business > awesomeness. Timed DLC became the norm, and Sony were left with the ball. They ran with it. Hard. Still playing through a massive PS3 backlog!
I guess CA will have to vary up the pacing with action sections - and perhaps some zero-G exploration? Crafting and items will bulk things out too, hopefully.
You're right, though, filling out a lengthy campaign will require a seriously nuanced challenge and pacing curve.
That's true - at the very least it will be a great stealth game from the looks of the pre-alpha! Expect big things from Isolation - especially since SEGA will be very keen to atone for CM with a quality comeback from a veteran studio (and a truthful marketing campaign by AAA standards, hopefully!).
"Rezzed? It's like the Eurogamer Expo but with added nerd. Yeah, I went there."
*Spits tea all over keyboard* How dare you! How... erm... err... yeah, fair enough. :P Mind you, if awesome left-field indie games and the ability to chat directly to devs is nerdy, then bring on my neckbeard.
Pedantic point of information: though all of these changes are excellent, only TWO of these five are actually implemented by Reaper Of Souls - the other THREE are free automatic updates for all players.
I loved Reaper (Crusader and Adventure is awesome, as is Act V), but credit where it's due, eh?
Sorry, but this game has the kiss of death. Stuart Black... and City Interactive... made it.
I'd love to be proven wrong, but I really don't have high hopes for it.
"Facecrap has killed PC VR"
Erm... hyperbole much?
"Clueless investor with worrying track record gives extraordinary amount of money to PC VR"
Fixed. I'm not thrilled at Oculus' choice of buyer either, but let's get a little perspective.
I don't mind that Oculus has secured extra funding. They've every right to do so and I wish them well.
But... damn, Facebook? IDK. Compared to any number of hardware companies with awesome R&D labs, personnel, hardware contacts, distribution channels etc, the creator and destroyer of the social bubble seems like a horrendous fit. Hell, even MS would have been a better partner on paper. Hopefully Zuckerberg has more money than sense and just leaves Luckey and Carma...
Seems fair enough to me. Personally enjoyed the replay value, side ops and generally messing about in the sandbox, but was very disappointed by the story, campaign length and really disgusting attempts to be "mature" and "controversial." Actually felt physically ill during the last cutscene, and I'm as desensitized as they come!
Got it in a deal so was pretty good value all told, for me, but always helpful to see different opinions.
This happened to me, SO GLAD that it isn't a hardware issue! A full power cycle fixes it, but was dreading having to replace my console and then reinstall absolutely everything.
I just about agree with "Xbox one sure gets the edge when it comes to games" - with the exception of inFamous (which is great), Xbox One brings the likes of Dead Rising 3, Forza 5 and other exclusives to the table at launch alongside the multiplats.
However, seriously good fun as Titanfall is, I'm not sure it entirely stacks up with the likes of TR: Definitive, AC4 etc.
Man, E3 is going to be amazing this year. Some serious battle lines are goin...
Quality is just as important as quantity in terms of "value." Better to spend money on a tiny flawless diamond than a jacuzzi full of turds.
That said, quantity and price is still important. Feel like GZ was a little cheeky, especially since only die-hard completionists will want to replay each mission more than a couple of times over.
Sorry, but what's wrong with the current system of different reviewers putting *different weighting* on quality, quantity and value? Right now we can pick a reviewer who has the same tastes as us and follow them, while enjoying some varying opinions.
I do think that price is a part of value, but so is quality. Better to buy a tiny diamond than a swimming pool full of poop, I guess. But we're free to read reviews from reviewers/critics/YTers that we emphathise with, an...
No, no, the "violence is okay so why isn't sex/sexual violence" defence is based on completely broken logic. In a shooter or action game, violence is the point, it makes sense both in context and within the game's internal logic. Shooters and action games star soldiers, professionals or sometimes even villains who kill for a living or to survive. Violence, even murder, makes absolute sense here.
Sexual violence or just plain sexual exploitation, however, is ...
If you've got an Xbox 360, I'd suggest finding a copy of Project Sylpheed (it's getting slightly rare now IIRC). Underrated little game, that - massive replay value and astonishing visuals. Feel it got short shrift.
